UBMD Internal Medicine is one of 18 medical practices in the UBMD Physicians’ Group.  Our physicians are internists first, certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine to treat adult patients.  Our specialists are certified in the primary sub-specialties associated with Internal Medicine, specifically:

Hospitalists

 RN Clinic Supervisor

Full-time RN Clinic Supervisor for busy outpatient clinic in Williamsville.  Will plan, coordinate and oversee patient services and clinical activities of the primary care clinic.  Will be responsible for supervision of clinic staff including management of day-to-day clinical activities including scheduling, supply ordering, etc.  Must have a current and valid RN license.  Minimum of 5-6 years’ nursing experience, preferably in an office setting.  Supervisory experience required.  Excellent multitasking, communication and organization skills required.  EMR experience preferred.  PCMH experience preferred. 

 

Director of Clinical Operations

Full-time Director of Clinical Operations to provide oversight of all outpatient clinical operations and staffing.  Responsible for identifying areas in need of improvement, making recommendations and modifications to improve and streamline processes and workflows.  Reporting directly to COO, will assist in identifying needs, resources, improvements, processes, etc.  Will collaborate with other department heads regarding clinical information, staffing, etc. to support contracting strategies, new physician recruitment, business plans, space planning, room utilization, etc.  Will act as the owner of process improvement to ensure optimization of patient workflows.  Responsible for implementing, revising and updating SOP's for each outpatient clinic and educating staff to changes.  NYS Registered Nurse with BSN required.  RN with MBA or MPH preferred.  Minimum of 5-7 years of management/supervisory experience required, preferably in an outpatient/ambulatory setting.  Must have strong initiative, organizational, communication and multitasking skills.  Must demonstrate leadership and change management abilities. 

 

 LPN for Specialty Clinic – Youngs Road (Williamsville)

Compliance Administrator 
UBMD Internal Medicine is seeking a full-time Compliance Administrator (CA) to manage the compliance efforts of the medical practice.  The CA will be responsible for reviewing medical records for quality and comprehensive coding to ensure compliance with ICD-10-CM, CPT-4, HCPCS and HCC standards as well as payer regulations.  Will conduct internal compliance audits and reviews and respond to incidents of suspected compliance violations.  The CA will provide training and education to healthcare professionals on billing and coding.  CPC and/or CCS-P required.  Bachelor’s degree in healthcare related field preferred.  Excellent communication skills required, as well as strong attention-to-detail.  Minimum of 5 years’ experience in ICD-9&10, CPT-4 and HCC coding and billing, as well as Medicaid, Medicare and third party payers.  Experience in education and training of healthcare professionals required.  Must possess valid NYS driver’s license that meets company driving standards.  
 
 Quality Improvement Manager
UBMD Internal Medicine is seeking a full-time Quality Improvement Manager (QIM) to develop, implement, coordinate and monitor quality improvement processes and policies/procedures.  The QIM will be responsible for meeting and achieving the quality metrics and goals through provider communication and education on metrics and internal quality reports received and generated in both inpatient and outpatient settings.  Will ensure maximization of quality and risk-share incentives available from hospital partners, as well as tracking performance amongst providers.  Will serve as the liaison between hospital partners, medical practice and community resources.  The QIM will conduct research for other added-value incentive dollars and resources, as well as identify and address concerns that may impact receipt of incentive dollars.  Licensed NYS Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant preferred.  Minimum of Licensed NYS Registered Nurse required.  Minimum of 5-7 years of hospital-based clinical experience, as well as outpatient experience.  Experience in quality improvement and/or utilization review required.  Excellent communication skills required, as well as creative and persistent problem-solving skills.  Must possess valid NYS driver’s license that meets company driving standards.  
 
NP/PA Nephrology

Full-time NP/PA for its Nephrology division located at ECMC.  Will be responsible for care and evaluation of nephrology patients.  Will participate and assist in the assessment/management of patients with end-stage renal disease, chronic kidney disease, kidney transplant and acute renal disorders.  Current NYS license required with minimum of 2 years’ experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in dialysis.  Must have excellent communication, organizational and multitasking skills.  Current NYS driver’s license required for ability to travel to other nephrology care locations if needed.  

 

NP/PA Geriatrics

 2 Full-time NP’s/PA’s for growing Geriatric division.  Will be responsible for providing daily management and coordination of post-acute care and long-term care for patients at the Greenfields Health & Rehab Center (in Lancaster).  Will be responsible to be part of rotating call schedule.  Two positions with overlapping schedules; days Monday through Friday and days Tuesday through Saturday.  Current NYS license required.  Minimum of 2 years experience, preferably with geriatric patients and/or post-acute care setting.  Must have ability to work independently, be flexible, demonstrate judgment and initiative while operating during demanding situations. 
 

Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner Gastroenterology (GI) Division

Full-time, will have outpatient clinics in Williamsville and at Conventus on the Medical Campus.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to: outpatient clinic activity, point of contact for referring physicians and maintaining quality data for the division.  Will be expected to participate in assessment and management of patient care as it relates to GI.  Will need to complete patient records in EMR system; handle urgent calls and tasks for physicians who are unavailable; communicate effectively/accurately with patients, families and physicians; collaborate with physician on designing and implementing appropriate plan of care for the patient or chooses appropriate treatment based on predetermined protocols; other clinical duties as assigned.

Must be a graduate of an accredited NP/PA program and have current NYS license.  Gastroenterology experience required.  EMR experience required.  Must have ability to work independently, be flexible, demonstrate judgment and initiative while operating during demanding situations.

 
Registered Nurse (RN) Cardiology, Youngs Road

Full-time Registered Nurse (RN) for Cardiology practice in fast paced clinic located in Williamsville.  RN will work as part of the Patient Care Team under the general supervision of a physician by taking an active role in performing cardiac stress testing and monitoring the patient during and after the procedure.  The RN will be responsible for coordinating information with providers and providing overall quality patient-centered care.  Will collaborate with multiple faculty, staff and community partners regarding patient needs, outcomes, condition, etc.  Will act as back up for the RN Device Nurse as needed or requested.  Must be a graduate from accredited School of Nursing with an active and unrestricted NYS license to practice as a RN, minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as a RN in Cardiology, with specific training and expertise in performing cardiac stress testing required.  BLS and ACLS required, excellent communication and customer service skills required, including experience and comfort level in providing and facilitating group presentations.  Critical thinking skills required with ability to evaluate and respond effectively and efficiently.  

 

Medical Coders – Goodell

Full-time Medical Coders to work in Buffalo.  The Coder reviews, analyzes and codes diagnostic, procedural and/or surgical information that determines Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance payments.  The primary function for this position is to perform ICD9 (and 10), CPT and HCPCS coding for reimbursement.  Two years of billing experience (physician billing preferred).  Two years of coding experience using ICD9M or equivalency.  Please note that any offer of employment is contingent upon background check and drug screen.

 

LPN Clinical Supervisor – Conventus (Buffalo)

Full-time LPN Clinical Supervisor for Specialty and Adult Medicine/Pediatric Clinic in Buffalo.  Will coordinate the daily workflow and ensure that all healthcare services are provided efficiently by maintaining excellent patient care and customer service in order to meet or exceed organizational expectations.  Will plan and direct delivery of healthcare services at the clinical practice site.  Must demonstrate proficiency in clinical skills and communicate effectively with providers, patients and other staff members.  Will provide direct oversight and supervision of clinical staff and back office operations.  Must be able to multitask, possess a high degree of flexibility and is able to adapt quickly to changing demands.  Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience as an LPN in a clinical setting.  Minimum of 2 years’ supervisory experience required, preferably in a clinic setting.  EMR experience required.  Specialty and/or pediatric experience preferred but not required.  Valid NYS LPN License required.

 

RN Triage – Youngs Road (Williamsville) and Linwood Avenue (Buffalo) 

Full-time RN Triage Nurses for high volume clinics in Williamsville and Buffalo.  Requires good communication skills and ability to multitask in a busy environment. Will be responsible for supervision and oversight of triage department.  Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in New York State.  EMR experience required.  PCMH and care management experience preferred.   Minimum of 2 to 3 years' experience in outpatient care setting preferred.  Supervisory experience required.  Triage experience preferred.

 
 RN Care Coordinator Youngs Road (Williamsville)

Full-time RN Care Coordinator will be responsible for providing a high level of care to patients including patient outreach, education and wellness coaching.  Will assess and identify patient’s readiness and ability to change; identifying their coaching, support and educational needs and determining relevant community and/or health care resources.  The RN Care Coordinator will develop interventions and set goals for behavioral modification within the scope of nursing practice, as well as conduct health and wellness coaching sessions with patients.  Will act as a liaison between physician practices, facilities and outside entities to resolve continuum of care issues related to patient care.  Will analyze clinical data generated from clinical performance reporting system and utilize data for tracking and care coordination purposes.  Must be NYS licensed RN, BSN preferred.  Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse.  Experience with patient education and goal setting preferred.  Data analysis experience preferred.  Excellent communication skills required.  Must be client-service oriented and proficient in multitasking, prioritization and organizational skills, as well as a high attention to detail.
