UBMD Internal Medicine is one of 18 medical practices in the UBMD Physicians’ Group.  Our physicians are internists first, certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine to treat adult patients.  Our specialists are certified in the primary sub-specialties associated with Internal Medicine, specifically:

Full time Director of Revenue Cycle Administration (DRCA) needed to manage the day-to-day activities and staff as it relates to revenue cycle functions including, but not limited to, front office processes, billing, collections, accounts receivables and financial planning for patients.  The DRCA will be tasked with maximizing billing and collections, as well as ensuring that outstanding patient accounts and A/R are no more than agreed upon limit.  Will develop and organize all billing and revenue cycle activities to include contracting, coding, data entry, collection, insurance verification, patient billing and refunding/crediting balances.  Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration required.  Minimum of five years’ experience in revenue cycle required.  Experience in healthcare data analytics preferred.  Minimum of three years’ supervisory experience.  Strong organizational, financial management and multi-tasking skills required.  Strong managerial competencies in the areas of leadership and team development, with a proven track record in building and developing high performing teams.

Full Time RN Clinic Administrator for Conventus Center for Collaborative Medicine in the downtown Buffalo Medical Campus. Will plan, coordinate and oversee patient services and clinical activities of the clinic. Will be responsible for supervision of clinic staff including management of day-to-day clinical activities. Will work closely with the Director of Clinical Operations on creating standardization of policies, procedures and workflows.  Must have a current and valid NYS Registered Nurse license. Minimum of 5-6 years’ nursing experience, preferably in a clinic setting. Supervisory experience required. Excellent multi-tasking, communication and organization skills required.  EMR experience preferred. PCMH experience preferred.

CODER (Downtown Buffalo)
Full time certified Coder needed to analyze documentation and accurately assign codes for hospitalist and primary care/specialty evaluation and management.  Must be familiar with procedures using the appropriate ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS codes.  Coder should be familiar with Medicare, Medicaid, No Fault, Workers' Comp and private insurance guidelines.  Responsibilities include performing the assignment of codes, verification of completeness for reimbursement, providing education and training to providers as needed, and reviewing records to ensure that all components such as patient and record identification, signatures and dates are present.  CCS, CCS-P or CPC certification required as well as two years or more of coding experience.
Full time MA needed to answer incoming calls in a professional/courteous manner at all times.  Must be able to distribute the calls to appropriate clinics or handle independently.  Will deliver strong customer services to every caller.  Must have ABOVE AVERAGE customer service and communication skills.  Minimum 2-3 years' customer service experience, preferably in a call center and/or health care setting.  MA experience is preferred but will consider others with call center experience.  Candidates who are bilingual are strongly encouraged to apply.  Strong scheduling experience preferred.
Full time Front Desk Coordinator needed for downtown Buffalo clinic.  Responsible for checking in/out patients, verifying insurance/demographics, collecting co-payments.  Knowledge of insurance verifications helpful.  Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:45 am - 4:45 pm with every other Thursday being 11:30 am - 7:30 pm.  Knowledge of  EMR system required.  One year experience in medical field preferred.  Must have strong customer service skills.
Full-time Director of APP's for Hospital Medicine program needed to manage and schedule team of 4 APP's.  Management responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, training, recruitment, performance review, disciplinary action.  Clinical practice will include daily rounds and collaborating with interdisciplinary team to initiate and coordinate early discharge.  Will work closely with the Director and Administrative Director on any administrative matters involving patient care, hospital concerns, process improvements, etc.  Hours for position will be primarily 7 pm to 7 am for 15 clinical shifts per month.  Minimum of 5 years' experience as an NP/PA, graduate of an accredited NP/PA program with current NYS license.  Prior management experience preferred.  Must be able to work independently and have excellent communication and multi-tasking skills.
