UBMD Internal Medicine is one of 18 medical practices in the UBMD Physicians’ Group.  Our physicians are internists first, certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine to treat adult patients.  Our specialists are certified in the primary sub-specialties associated with Internal Medicine, specifically:

Hospitalists
UBMD Internal Medicine is the clinical practice plan affiliated with the University at Buffalo’s Department of Medicine.  UB’s Department of Medicine seeks highly motivated and experienced board-certified or board-eligible internists interested in academic careers combining inpatient care with teaching.  The successful hospitalist will be appointed at the rank of clinical assistant/associate professor.  The hospitalist will be part of a patient-centered team dedicated to providing compassionate care to a diverse vulnerable population while teaching and supervising residents and students.  For more information and to apply, visit the Department of Medicine's Employment Opportunities page.  This position is for MDs and all applications must be made via the UB Employment Opportunities page only.

UBMD Internal Medicine is seeking a full-time LPN at our Primary Care and Specialty clinic in Williamsville.  Must demonstrate ability to multitask in a team environment.  EMR experience required.  Minimum 2 years’ experience preferred.  Valid NYS LPN license. 

Director of Revenue Cycle Administration

UBMD Internal Medicine is seeking a Director of Revenue Cycle Administration (DRCA) for multi-practice billing department.  The DRCA is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities as they relate to revenue cycle functions including, but not limited to, front office processes, billing, collections, accounts receivables and financial planning for patients.  The DRCA will be tasked with maximizing billing and collections, as well as ensuring that outstanding patient accounts and A/R are no more than agreed upon limit.  Will develop and organize all billing and revenue cycle activities to include contracting, coding, data entry, collection, insurance verification, patient billing and refunding/crediting balances.  Responsible for developing performance-based/productivity-based metrics for approximately 30 employees.  Will oversee functions for Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology and Urology practices.  Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration required.  Minimum of five years’ experience in revenue cycle required.  Experience in healthcare data analytics preferred.  Minimum of three years’ supervisory experience.  Strong organizational, financial management and multi-tasking skills required.  Strong managerial competencies in the areas of leadership and team development, with a proven track record in building and developing high performing teams. 

Office Coordinator

UBMD Dermatology seeking full-time Office Coordinator (OC) to provide day-to-day oversight of clinical operations and staffing at outpatient clinic site.  The OC will also be responsible for working the front desk and managing all required patient information and interactions.  The OC will be responsible for preparing provider schedules, managing daily operations, ensuring adequate staffing, managing patient interactions and various reporting requirements.  The OC will maintain inventory and equipment, as well as act as the first point of contact for patient issues/complaints.  The OC will ensure efficient check in/out of patients including verifications of patient demographics and insurance, as well as scheduling follow-up appointments and referral visits.  Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.  HS diploma with 7-10 years administrative/managerial experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.  Minimum of 2-4 years experience in office management/supervision of staff.  Must have excellent customer service, organization, multitasking and communication skills.  Medical terminology and EMR experience required.  

Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner (Dermatology)
UBMD Internal Medicine is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner for a busy Dermatology Clinic located in Williamsville. Responsibilities include participating and assisting in assessment and management of patient care; assist in improving workflow and efficiencies within clinics; maintain accurate and complete patient records in EMR system; handles urgent calls and tasks for physicians who are unavailable; communicates effectively/ accurately with patients, families and physicians; collaborates with physician on designing and implementing appropriate plan of  care for the patient or chooses appropriate treatment based on predetermined protocols; other clinical duties as assigned. Expected hours are M-F 8:30am-5pm.  Must be a graduate of an accredited NP/PA program, board certified and have current NYS license. Dermatology experience required. Must have ability to work independently, be flexible, demonstrate judgment and initiative while operating during demanding situations.

UBMD Internal Medicine is seeking full-time LPN's for triage in fast paced clinic in Williamsville.  Must demonstrate initiative and ability to multitask in a team environment.  EMR and Triage experience required.  Minimum 2 years clinic experience preferred.  Valid NYS LPN license.
