UBMD Internal Medicine is one of 18 medical practices in the UBMD Physicians’ Group.  Our physicians are internists first, certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine to treat adult patients.  Our specialists are certified in the primary sub-specialties associated with Internal Medicine, specifically:

Hospitalists
UBMD Internal Medicine is the clinical practice plan affiliated with the University at Buffalo’s Department of Medicine.  UB’s Department of Medicine seeks highly motivated and experienced board-certified or board-eligible internists interested in academic careers combining inpatient care with teaching.  The successful hospitalist will be appointed at the rank of clinical assistant/associate professor.  The hospitalist will be part of a patient-centered team dedicated to providing compassionate care to a diverse vulnerable population while teaching and supervising residents and students.  For more information and to apply, visit the Department of Medicine's Employment Opportunities page.  This position is for MDs and all applications must be made via the UB Employment Opportunities page only.

Patient Service Representative
UBMD Internal Medicine is seeking a full-time Patient Service Representative for their busy call center in Williamsville who will answer incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner at all times.  Must be able to distribute the calls to appropriate clinics or handle independently.  Act as resource to call for all providers’ schedules.  Deliver strong customer service to each incoming caller.  Must have ABOVE AVERAGE customer service and communication skills.  Minimum 2-3 years’ customer service experience, preferably in a call center and/or health care setting.  Must be able to work independently.  Strong CGM (or relevant) experience with scheduling.  Must possess excellent organizational, multi-tasking and communication skills.

LPN - Youngs Road Office

UBMD Internal Medicine is seeking a full-time LPN for Primary Care clinic on Youngs Road.  Must demonstrate ability to multi-task in a team environment.  EMR experience required.  Minimum 2 years’ experience preferred.  Valid NYS LPN license. 

LPN - Linwood Office
UBMD Internal Medicine is seeking a full-time LPN for Adult Medicine and Pediatric clinic in Buffalo.  Must demonstrate ability to multi-task in a team environment.  EMR experience required.  Minimum 2 years’ experience preferred. Valid NYS LPN license. 

Senior Administrative Assistant (SAA)

UBMD Internal Medicine seeking a full-time Senior Administrative Assistant (SAA) for its Adult Medicine and Pediatric division located in Buffalo, reporting to the Division Chief (DC).  Responsibilities will include but are not limited to calendar maintenance, organizational policies and procedures, resolving administrative problems/inquiries and overall general support to providers within the division.  Will assist with maintaining and tracking credentials of all providers.  Responsibilities also include travel planning for faculty business trips and coordination of potential faculty candidates.  Will periodically review and update provider information on company website to ensure all information is current.  Will manage correspondence, program records, multiple schedules and will provide assistance to the Residency Program.  Associate’s degree preferred.  Two to three years’ administrative support experience to higher-level administrator, preferably in the medical or education field.  Solid organizational and multi-tasking skills.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Strong knowledge and proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.  Must maintain a high level of confidentiality.
 Senior Accountant
UBMD Internal Medicine is seeking a full-time Senior Accountant to assist in maintaining general ledger accounts and business transactions of the organization, applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and analytical work and thorough review of financial records.  Will be responsible for month and year-end close activities including review/preparation of journal entries and budget-to-actual reports; monthly reconciliation of balance sheets and assisting with preparation of financial statements; and managing monthly invoicing.  Will also assist with the development and maintenance of policies/procedures related to accounting/finance processes and workflows.  Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required, MBA preferred.  CPA certification preferred.  Minimum of 5 years’ accounting experience required, preferably in the health care field.  Experience with Great Plains accounting applications a plus.  Must have excellent communication and multi-tasking skills. 
Front Desk Coordinators – Youngs Road Office
UBMD Internal Medicine is seeking full-time Front Desk Coordinators for our Williamsville location.  Responsible for checking in/out patients, verifying insurance/demographics, collecting co-payments.  Knowledge of EMR system required.  One year experience in medical field required and must have strong customer service skills.
